I created the following pieces as part of trauma recovery
treatment during late winter and early spring of 2004. While
the original treatment was sought as a result of domestic
violence experienced in early adulthood, the artwork reflects
domestic violence witnessed as a child. The experience was
both cathartic and healing.
The works reflect an incidence of domestic violence during
pregnancy and the impact on the developing child, neglect
of children when the adults are in the midst of domestic violence
and domestic violence witnessed by the toddler. |
