Welcome to Art of Recovery

This 2008 special exhibition of visual and literary art commemorates Minnesota Crime Victims’ Rights Week, a time where we join together to raise awareness about crime victims and their rights.

Uniting in our support of victims and survivors, we recognize their right to services as they strive to regain their equilibrium and heal the pain of their experiences. We recognize the professionals and volunteers who collaborate with community members and groups to provide information and support to victims and survivors.

We express our sincere thanks to all of the artists and writers who through their visual and literary artworks bravely share their personal stories of victimization. We hope that this exhibition offers them an opportunity to gain strength through unity as they continue to heal.

Our special thanks are also offered to the Minnesota State Arts Board and its staff, for without their gracious collaboration, this show would not have been realized.

Thank you for your attendance and support of crime victims throughout the year. We hope this show is an insightful experience for you.
