Adam Sheda, Unfinished

Adam Michael Sheda, 26, was murdered on June 30, 2007. He had been in Iraq with the MN National Guard for almost two years and had returned home one week before he died. Adam enjoyed drawing and painting various subjects including family members and WWII planes and tanks.

I am submitting this work on behalf of my brother, Adam Michael Sheda. Adam is a silent victim of crime because he was murdered on June 30, 2007, at the age of 26. Adam was a very talented man who enjoyed painting and drawing. Adam enjoyed drawing and painting various subjects including family members and WWII planes and tanks. Our family cherishes the artwork he left behind. This painting is both beloved and painful for me. It is of my daughter, Emma, but he never got to finish it. Looking at it makes me so happy that he was painting Emma, but so sad that he never got the chance to complete it. So many things are unfinished now that he is gone. This painting. Our family. His dreams. His life. All unfinished.
