$3,800; artist Rhonda Lund will conduct a residency focusing on creative storytelling and mask making, connecting with students' backgrounds and history

Columbus Elementary, Forest Lake
$4,543; Maria Olofsdotter will conduct an interdisciplinary residency revolving around poetry as a creative art form in combination with visual arts disciplines

Ely Public Schools, Ely
$1,567; musician Michael Monroe will work with students to create a song representative of the Ely area

Excell Academy for Higher Learning, Brooklyn Park
$3,840; Margot Galt and T. Mychael Rambo will conduct residencies in literary and theater arts; Galt will examine the multicultural exchanges between Native Americans and African Americans; Rambo will focus on the elements of theater

J. J. Hill Montessori Magnet School, Saint Paul
$2,750; Susan Armington will conduct a visual art residency using painting, sculpture, and collage to help students create objects to tell stories

$6,250; artist Margo McCreary will work on self-expression and communication of ideas in nature through creative puppetry

$2,500; Media Mike Hazard will work with students to create a video exploring life lessons of the late Paul Wellstone called The Magic Green School Bus

Lake Harriet Community School, Minneapolis
$3,157; artist and educator Bart Buch will conduct a theater and puppetry arts residency that will allow students to experience creating and performing, as well as reacting to a performance

Linwood A+ Elementary, Saint Paul
$5,450; artists Meredith Holt, Ross Sutter, Mick LaBriola, and T. Mychael Rambo will conduct residencies focusing on the many cultures present in our schools

Minnesota Association of Charter Schools, Saint Paul
$22,000; artists Ta-Coumba Aiken and Larry Long will work with four charter schools to identify, honor, and artistically represent their communities through music and a mural

$3,350; poet Florence Dacey will lead a poetry residency for five core groups on the theme "Beginnings and Endings" at Sanford and Ramsey elementary schools

$4,700; Maria Olofsdotter and T. Mychael Rambo will conduct a residency focused on literacy through the arts with ways for students to positively express themselves

Rochester Montessori School, Rochester
$3,174; artist Duane Barnhart will conduct a residency using multiple mediums to develop basic learning skills and knowledge of the arts through cartooning

Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis
$3,375; African dancer and drummer Francis Kofi will conduct a residency focusing on rhythms of Africa

Sanford Middle School, Minneapolis
$4,262; Rhonda Lund’s residency will combine math and language arts curriculums; artist and teachers will use drama to teach problem solving for math word problems

Southside Family School, Minneapolis
$3,400; taiko drummer Sara Dejoras will instruct children in the culture, history, and practice of taiko drumming

Stevens Elementary, Dawson
$11,188; artists Ross Sutter, Margot Galt, Perrin Boyd, Meredith Holt, and Linda Moraal will conduct residencies focused on the theme of immigration

Webster Magnet Elementary, Saint Paul
$8,000; artist Sowah Mensah will collaborate with staff members Diane Sollenbeyer and Diane Match to create a comprehensive African program
