$2,067; Writer Florence Dacey will lead a creative writing residency on the theme of pioneer days, focusing on creating an appreciation for and emphasis on the impact of pioneer days.

Capitol Hill Magnet School, Saint Paul
$3,597; Joko and Tri Sutrisno will conduct a residency in which students will learn to play the gamelan and to dance traditional Indonesian dances, culminating in performances for the entire school community.

Centerpoint Elementary, White Bear Lake
$5,028; Patricia Black will conduct a residency with a focus on quilt making and three-dimensional fabric design connecting to the theme "sharing our planet.”

Columbus Elementary, Forest Lake
$4,069; Theater artist and storyteller Sean Brown will conduct a residency focusing on the art of storytelling.

Excell Academy, Brooklyn Park
$3,490; John Acosta will conduct a residency on the creative process of thinking outside the box; Jan Elftmann will conduct a residency on ecological awareness with sculpture.

Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource School, Crystal
$3,200; Gamelan conductor and composer Joko Sutrisno will conduct a collaborative residency focused on creating a shadow puppet performance of student-created folktales, accompanied by the Gamelan orchestra.

Henry Sibley High School, West Saint Paul
$2,594; Mural artist John Acosta will conduct a residency on the theme of democracy in education, helping students to create their own mural project.

J. J. Hill Montessori Magnet School, Saint Paul
$2,023; Musician Mick LaBriola will conduct workshops to offer students the opportunity to learn basic drumming techniques and basic rhythms from various cultures.

Lakeaires Elementary School, White Bear Lake
$2,171; Marcia McEachron will teach drawing as a language of lines and shapes, in a residency focusing on Cray-Pas drawings of animal images

Linwood A+ Elementary, Saint Paul
$5,500; John Acosta, Francis Kofi, T. Mychael Rambo, and Joko Sutrisno will conduct an all school residency focused on the theme “multicultural celebrations of light.”

Longfellow Humanities Magnet School, Saint Paul
$6,109; Writer John Minczeski will conduct "Artists In Cahoots," a poetry residency; musician Gao Hong will conduct a residency on the music and culture of China.

Marcy Open School, Minneapolis
$4,800; Folkdance artist Robin Nelson will conduct a residency using folk dancing and folk songs as a cultural lens to explore early American and Minnesota history.

New City School, Minneapolis
$3,950; Artist Robin Nelson will teach songs and dances from different cultures around the world to students and teachers. The residency will promote arts integration throughout the curriculum, cultural studies, and the building of social skills and community.

Park Spanish Immersion School, Saint Louis Park
$7,250; Mask artist Maria Olofsdotter, tile muralist Susan Warner, and ethnomusicologist Leo Lara will offer interdisciplinary residencies with a focus on Hispanic and Latino folktales to promote further understanding for the students and the larger community.

Peter Hobart Primary Center, Saint Louis Park
$5,066; Visual artist Susan Warner will lead students in creating individual sculptures and a school wide cooperative mural.

Plymouth Christian Youth Center, Plymouth
$2,543; Theater artist T. Mychael Rambo and dancer/musician Francis Kofi will conduct a residency centered on the theme: "The Africa of yesterday and today;" it will include theater, writing, dance, and drumming.

Prairie Wind Middle School, Perham
$4,000; Larry Long will conduct a residency focused on shared experiences of children in Northern Minnesota industrial, agricultural, and tourist communities throughout the generations.

Roosevelt High School, Minneapolis
$3,750; African dancer and drummer Francis Kofi will conduct a residency focusing on the rhythms that are traditional in the West Africa community through the use of the drum, dance, and folktales.

Sleepy Eye Public Schools, Sleepy Eye
$3,000; Vocal ensemble, InPulse will conduct a five-day residency focusing on the art of the human voice.

South High School, Minneapolis
$4,000; Muralist Gustavo Lira will bring together teachers, students, and volunteers to research, plan, compose, and execute a 1,263 square foot peace and human rights mural in one of the main common areas of the school.

Southside Family School, Minneapolis
$3,568; Artist Sara Dejoras will conduct a residency on the Japanese art of Taiko drumming for K-8 grade students.

Stevens Elementary, Dawson
$11,457; Artists Mary Jo Pauly, Perrin Boyd, Linda Bruning, Timothy Hasenstein, and Ross Sutter will conduct residencies in book arts, theater, music, and visual art.

The Studio Academy, Rochester
$1,974; Photographer Barry Kleider will conduct a residency focused on visual literacy, to help students understand the meaning and intent in photography through created community portraits.

Webster Magnet Elementary, Saint Paul
$10,000; Sowah Mensah will conduct a year long residency teaching African music and culture.

World Cultures and Languages Magnet, Saint Paul
$3,290; Artist Marcia McEachron will conduct a residency focused on clay figures as a method to discover Saint Paul architectural ornamentation.
