Community Arts Education Support

The Community Arts Education Support program provides operating support to build and strengthen the capacity of exceptional arts education organizations, or of arts education programs of public or nonprofit organizations that have a sustained commitment to providing ongoing, rigorous arts education opportunities in community settings. Funds may be used to support the programming and operating goals of community arts education organizations and programs, so that they may maintain and grow ongoing services, staffing, and support functions.

Based on a conviction that the arts play an essential role in vibrant communities, the Arts Center of Saint Peter embraces a mission that stimulates and supports a broad range of artistic activity throughout southern Minnesota. Lake Superior Youth Chorus, Duluth $  12,000
The Lake Superior Youth Chorus cultivates an active and inclusive community of young choral artists, centered on a holistic music education.
Mankato Children's Chorus, Mankato $  8,000
The Mankato Children's Chorus is dedicated to providing an opportunity for any interested youth to experience the joy of singing while developing healthy vocal techniques. Through rehearsal and performance of quality choral music, singers will develop artistic expressiveness, self-confidence, a cooperative spirit, and the joy of working toward and achieving goals with other singers.
