Arts Board Rules
What are rules?
The Arts Board is authorized by the Minnesota State Legislature
to make rules that govern:
- procedures and criteria for receiving, considering, and
reviewing requests for, and distribution of, grants and
other forms of assistance; and
- procedures and criteria to conduct a decentralized system
of providing grants and other forms of assistance at the
grass roots level.
Each time the Arts Board makes revisions or additions to
the rules, the public will have an opportunity to comment
about the proposed changes.
What are the current rules of the Arts Board?
The Arts Board’s existing rules—Minnesota Rules,
Chapter 1900—are available on the Web site of the Office
of the Revisor of Statutes.
About the rule making process and current rules changes
The Minnesota State Arts Board has begun a rulemaking project that will amend some rules that govern the way the board distributes grants and other forms of assistance and amend rules that relate to the board's statutory role as fiscal agent for regional arts councils. Visit the rulemaking page to learn more about proposed rule changes or to submit comments on proposed rules.
